The Crimson Cord: Rehab’s Story (By: Jill Eileen Smith)

Last week, I began reading a book called The Crimson Cord. The book is based on the story of Rahab. Rahab was, according to the Book of Joshua , a prostitute  who lived in Jericho in the Promised Land and assisted the Israelites in capturing the city. She became a figure of fascination to the writers of the New Testment, where she is reckoned among the ancestor of Jesus, and is lauded as an example of living by faith, while being justified by her works. I really love this book, it conveys life as we know it now in 2015. Not, only does this book talk about love, marriage, and lies. It also, reminds us that God holds no favorite in a person.

So, we should not either or judge anyone by their outward appearance. God is a just God and judges us by what’s in our hearts.

If you have a book that inspires you, please comment and share your thoughts.

Keep reading and learning!!
