Mr. Church is a very beautiful movie, it addresses the tension in our country and helps us to realize that no matter what color you are love is possible. I have always been taught to respect others for who they are, even though in some situations it is very hard to do. The movie stars, Eddie Murphy (Mr. Church) the movie tells the story of a unique friendship that develops when a little girl and her dying mother retain the services of a talented cook – Henry Joseph Church. What begins as a six month arrangement instead spans into fifteen years and creates a family bond that lasts forever. Even though Mr. Church was a discrete man, in his heart he understood Charlie played by Britt Robertson and her need to know more about him.
The story was so touching and I believe it was story was inspired by true events. Thumbs up to Eddie Murphy for expressing such vulnerability in his role as Mr. Church. I have seen practically most of his movies and this is not the first time he has been candid in front of the camera. If you’ve followed his body of work and I am so proud of his transformation, this is such an inspiration to all of us. We need to really think about how we treat other, because life is strange and it not a promise to anyone. Instead of fighting over senseless things, let us cherish who we have instead of thinking about color or public views. Britt Robertson also challenged herself in playing a meek girl with a very curious attitude. As her life story evolves Charlie went off to school, became pregnant and the only man who truly loved her was there. Mr. Church is the perfect example of how love can change ones perspective of life
