Celebrating Movies of 2016: Collateral Beauty

Life takes us on a journey into different directions, sometimes down long roads that leads into the unknown. We all hope for the best in others and ourselves, but the pains of abandonment can create trails of unopened letters. Collateral Beauty starring Will Smith, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Naomie Harris and Michael Peña. The story follows a successful New York advertising executive (Will Smith) suffers a great tragedy he retreats from life. While his concerned friends try desperately to reconnect with him, he seeks answers from the universe by writing letters to Love, Time and Death. But it’s not until his notes bring unexpected personal responses that he begins to understand how these constants interlock in a life fully lived, and how even the deepest loss can reveal moments meaning and beauty.

 

The movie is  very compelling and thought provoking. This is a family friendly movie, especially in the state of the world we all need to ask ourselves some serious questions. Will Smith is very vulnerable and in every moment he bring s you on a journey with the three stages of life. Love, Time and Death.
