  1. 16839566_1783643521962470_2064935944_n

I like to call this my 2 minute hair miracle! Currently, I have natural hair, so I try to do a lot of hair treatments. Honestly, weather your hair  is naturally curly or straight, proper moisturizing treatments is vital in repairing each hair strand and follicle. This is why having a reliable hair oil is great from hydrating the scalp and hair growth. Personally speaking, I use this hair oil every night and my hair has been looking even more healthier.

This oil strengthens and deeply nourishes your hair, preventing split ends and decreasing their appearance. It hydrates the scalp, balancing sebum production to correct oily or dry hair. Specially formulated to increase blood circulation, promoting hair growth and restoring natural sheen. This organic blend is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids making it ideal for treating and preventing hair loss, premature greying and environmental damage. The side effects of this oil are tangle free hair, hair holding a style much easier, hair growth going into overdrive and no more frizzy fly aways!

The Conditioning Hair Mask  really gave my hair a deep treatment. I followed the directions for the mask and then applied it to my scalp and hair. The consistency was semi thin and had a floral scent. Mind you, this was my first time trying a hair mask in the form of a powder. Usually, I used cream masks  in hair and it worked too, so trying another method was a breath of fresh air and my mother enjoyed the powder mask too.

Here is a photo with the conditioning mask already in my hair:

After applying the mask, I followed the recommended time and just waited for the magic to happen. As the moments went by, my hair was getting hard  and I proceeded to rinsing it out  in the shower. The final results was astonishing! My hair felt moisturized, revitalized, and cleansed, because using so many hair products during the week took a toll.

This mask hydrates the scalp balancing sebum production to correct oily or dry hair, and increases blood circulation promoting hair growth and restoring natural sheen. This organic herb and clay blend is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fatty acids to strengthen and nourish your hair. The combination of detoxification and nourishment makes this hair mask ideal for treating and preventing hair loss, premature greying, environmental damage and dandruff. Rhassoul clay is unlike any other clay because it actually adds moisture to your hair instead of pulling out your natural oils. Despite being gentle and hydrating it still is an efficient detoxifying agent to remove product buildup and thoroughly cleanse your hair and scalp.

Directions: Mix at least 1/3 cup clay with filtered water until clay is very liquidy. Avoid using metal when mixing since metal decreases the clays pulling ability. Apply to hair and scalp, cover with a shower cap and leave 30-45 minutes. Can be applied to wet or dry hair, but more water should be added when applying to dry hair.

Organic Ingredients: Rhassoul Clay, Calendula, Horsetail, Hibiscus Flower, Basil, Amla, Reishi, Parsley, Brahmi, Marshmallow, Rosemary, Chamomile, Arnica, Burdock Root.

The Pore Minimizing Mask topped the whole product excursion! After I used the hair mask, you can say that I did the full course and used the face mask too. I followed the instructions, mixed the mask in a bowl and you will see the finished product in the video below as well. Note: My face was not dry after washing off the mask and I felt like my skin gained more moisture than it had before.

Here is a photo of me with the mask on and I will wash it off on camera.

This mask deeply hydrates and nourishes your skin while thoroughly exfoliating it leaving behind healthy, baby soft skin. It shrinks enlarged pores creating smoother, younger looking skin and preventing dirt, oil and makeup from building up in your pores, thus preventing Acne breakouts as well. The wonderful selection of organic herbs in this blend were picked for their ability to increase skin elasticity, diminish wrinkles and even skin tone. Treat your face to a high dose of antioxidants to prevent and reverse environmental damage to your lovely skin!

Directions: Mix one-two tbsp. clay with filtered water until clay falls easily off the spoon. Avoid using metal when mixing since metal decreases the clays pulling ability. Apply a liberal layer, let dry, place a warm washrag over your face, then gently massage off in small circular motion. Apply your favorite oil or go bare and enjoy the natural hydration from the Rhassoul Clay.

The Real Tea about Beauty: Teehaus Soaps

The perfect way to step into the new week is with a cup of tea. Ok, I’m kidding, but hot tea is essential. I love my word play, so let’s really talk about beauty and I’m referring to facial or body care. Even though, the company that I’m featuring supplies these products too, but what about our hair! Yes, hair health has never been more important. I have the perfect product that is small, convenient, and only costs 10 dollars.

The Teehaus Soap company is the new song on radio and the cherry on top of  he ice cream.  In my previous article, I’ve expressed that having natural hair takes a whole village to clean, especially when the cleansing products doesn’t get directly to the scalp.  So lately, I have ventured from only using shampoo bottles, to using shampoo and conditioner bars.  Here is my video review and thoughts about Teehaus Soaps products.

  1. SHAMPOO BAR: ROSEMARY PEPPERMINT:

    16837883_1783644175295738_1598306553_n

This little miracle in a small bar is my ticket to having clean hair. I received these bars in the mail separately packed and ready for use. As always, I like to follow steps when it comes to my hair, so I used the shampoo bar first. Note: After using this bar, I would recommend keeping it away from the water to increase the shelf life. Ok back to my description, the soap didn’t strip my hair of it’s natural oils and the lather was very moderate. Below is more information about the soap Courtesy of Teehaus Soap.

The Shampoo Bar contains avocado oil and wheat beer as conditioning agents for healthy, beautiful hair. Rosemary essential oil helps promote hair growth and repair damage, and rich mango butter and coconut milk combine to make this bar mild and creamy.

Unlike commercial shampoos, these bars do not contain harsh detergents to strip hair of its natural oils. Rosemary Peppermint Shampoo Bar is sulfate free and formulated to be gentle and nourishing.

To use, rub the shampoo bar directly on your hair or work up a lather in your hands. Rinse thoroughly and follow with conditioner.

Camellia Conditioner is the perfect match for our Rosemary Peppermint Shampoo bar, available here.

Speaking of the Camellia Conditioner bar, this is the hair smoothing remedy for the

The conditioner bar is the complete opposite, the bar doesn’t lather or creates suds, instead it has a light creamy consistency when it touched my hair. I simply applied the bar to my scalp and proceed in a circular motion, to really give my hair a deep treatment. The smell was also light, so this wouldn’t bother you if you’re prone to offensive smells.  Both the Shampoo and Conditioner bars didn’t shrink after 5 uses, so this is another check mark on my list. Below is more information about the soap Courtesy of Teehaus Soap.

The solid conditioner bar contains natural and plant-based conditioning oils, panthenol (pro-vitamin B-5) for bounce and shine, green tea extract, and ultra-rich conditioning shea butter as well as camellia oil from the tea plant to promote growth and smoothness. This vegan conditioner bar lasts for a very long time, and is an economical, biodegradable, and healthy alternative to commercial conditioners. It has a light, refreshing natural scent of bergamot mint essential oil.

You will notice a difference right away when making the switch to natural hair care. Beautiful, healthy hair comes from natural cleansing and moisturizing to repair hair without damaging chemicals and sulfates. Camellia Conditioner bars are easy to use, long lasting, all natural, and appropriate for all hair types. They do not weigh hair down and can be used on oily hair. They are especially effective for dry, chemically treated, color treated or damaged hair. Camellia Conditioner bars are perfect for home or travel. Unlike commercial conditioners, these bars do not contain harsh detergents to strip hair of its natural oils. Camellia Conditioner is sulfate free and formulated to be gentle and nourishing.

To use, rub the conditioner bar directly on your hair and work through. Conditioner will feel soft and will not create a lather. Rinse thoroughly and style as usual. Camellia Conditioner is the perfect match for our Rosemary Peppermint Shampoo bar, available here.

Save 20% when you order our solid shampoo and conditioner as a set, here.

You will receive one 3.5 oz conditioner bar in a recyclable post-consumer kraft paper box with our colorful Teehaus label. No plastic bottles = no waste!

Before we dive into the visuals, let’s first  talk about the fine print. Dare I say it, the INGREDIENTS!

The first on our list is the Pink Clay Mask:

1.16831475_1712701278990486_295619406_n

The pink clay mask is my personal favorite! The scent is not offensive, then again it’s organic so it doesn’t really have a scent. The mask dries fast, so let’s say your in a hurry and it’s a weekday. The application process takes only 30 seconds, because the consistency is not too thick. Note: Any mask becomes thick, but the amount of water determines the texture. This is your DIY moment, so please make sure the texture is semi-thick to really take care of business.

Remember: With a non metal spoon, add water to 1tsp. of dry mask. Mix into a paste. Apply to clean skin for 15 mins or until mask is completely dry. Rinse off with warm water.

Australian Pink Clay benefits:
-most gentle oil absorbing clay
-detoxifies
-absorbs oil, then soothes the dryness

The is my early morning facial:

Moving my face was out of the question, but I still managed to smile. This is my pink clay face!!

Moving on! The rescue remedy for those under eye lines is the Green Clay mask.

2.16831245_1712701265657154_2088672161_n

As a college student, burning the night oil has it’s benefits, but the next day is a whole other story. Honestly, I look like the bride of Frankenstein the very next day and foundation doesn’t always cover up everything. I used ice cubes, cucumber, and peppermint tea bags to cure my under eye lines, but nothing seemed to consistently work. Thankfully,  the green clay mask from Beth and Olivia came just in time. Usually, I don’t like to wear makeup, so taking care  of  my skin is my number one priority. The green clay mask smells like green tea and doesn’t take long to dry. Having the luxury of fast beauty treatments, makes getting my day started less stressful.

French green clay benefits:
-volcanic ashes from ancient volcanoes
-helps fight acne
-pulls out toxins and oil

Here is my Green Clay face early in the morning. As you can see, there are no visible under eye lines and a smile on my face.
