Spring Homemade Cake Jars by Lola’s Place

In honor of the season of butterflies, I have the perfect dessert that will blow your mind. Here at True Vivant I love to write about lifestyle products, but nothing beats eating sweet treats. This is not my first time trying jars cake, but this time the cakes are flawless. Let’s get started! Please watch me try these  cakes in my video below. Here is my description of the cakes and ingredients.

Cinnamon Swirl:

The Cinnamon Swirl was the first jar that I tried and let’s just say the jar was empty within 3 minutes. I am not exaggerating, the fresh cinnamon essence is amazing and the cake was very light for being in a jar. Since Lola made the cake so moist, I was able to taste ever ingredient. The fresh cranberries, apples, carrot, and the fresh citrus told me that spring was coming. P.S. Let me clarify why the cake finished that quick. My siblings were able to sample the jar cake and they were the ones who finished it! Even, my sister who is seriously not a jar cake person, was apart of the buffet celebration.

 

Here is the secret recipe for the Cinnamon Swirl Jar Cake:

Enriched flour, Wheat flour, Sugar, Canola Oil, Butter, Salt, Eggs, 1% Milk, Lowfat sour cream, Vanilla extract, Pecans, Poppyseeds, Baking soda, Cranberries, Apples, Carrots, Cherries, Orange or Lemon Juice and Zest, Milk Semi Sweet or White Chocolate, Caramel, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cinnamon Allspice, and Corrander.

Orange Cinnamon Poppyseed:

I like to call this the morning cake! Thankfully since the cake has  poppyseeds, my siblings kept their hands off and the cake was all mine. Ok, just like the Cinnamon  Swirl the cake was very moist and even though poppyseeds are not my favorite, but I’ve grown to love it. The orange poppyseed cake should be the face of spring time. Honestly the amount of citrus essence and spices is so comforting. By the way, this cake contains so much vegetables and fruits that it’s hard to believe how delicious health can be. Note: The poppyseeds are not that big, so you don’t have to worry about big chucks.

Here is the secret recipe for the Orange Cinnamon Poppyseed Jar Cake:

Everyday is Valentines Day: A Jar Full of Cocoa & Vanilla

As our Everyday is  Valentines Day series continues all through February, the one thing we haven’t talked about is dessert. Oh silly me! This is the center of any celebration, so since I forgot about this very important detail let me make it up to you. How many of you ever tried a jar cake? Basically, a jar cake consists of layering icing and cake in a jar. This  trend  began last year and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with them. The cake company called “Tart 37” specializes in making products of convenience. They sell cake pops,truffles, and cupcakes. All you have to do is pick which product  you want and my friendly baker Tamarah Majette will make your order unique.

Here is my first cake jars from Tart 37:

  1. Vanilla Jar Cake w/ Vanilla Buttercream:

The Vanilla Jar Cake was very moist and smelled pretty go. I wish I could say that it was delicious, but the packaging was lovely despite the texture of the cake.

 

 

 

2. The Chocolate Cake:

This Chocolate cake is something special, my first spoon turned into a second, third, fourth and fifth helping. The cake was very moist and the coco buttercream icing made this jar cake out of this world delicious. Words cannot describe how much I loved it! As I practically almost finished the jar cake, I thought their was chocolate chips in the center of the cake. Probably not! I don’t know what kind of fairy dust she placed in this jar cake, but after tasting the chocolate I completely  forgot about the vanilla cake. Usually, chocolate cake isn’t my favorite flavor, but I guess my mind has changed. I wonder how the cake pops taste? Well, it looks like your going to have to find out for me.
